Just be sure to check the fat & sugar content. I add 1/4 can of coconut cream to my 14oz. can of coconut milk for sweetness as 1 can has 22g sugar. It only has 4g fat so not sure how creamy it might be.

I made the mistake of following the directions a bit to literally. The cuisinart ice cream maker suggests est using all ingredients chilled so I had put the coconut cream in the fridge for a couple hours. Oops! It had such big hard chunks they never softened and became a smooth consistency. additionally, if you choose to add strawberries, cut them up small first as they will also lodge in the ice cream maker preventing churning. Flavor was great, texture was a real fail.

I used this as a base for german chocolate ice cream in my ice cream maker. Followed the above ingredients but used a whole can of full fat coconut milk, boxed coconut milk in place of regular milk, omitted the salt, added 1/3 cup sweetened shredded coconut, 1/4 cup cocoa powder, and 1/4 cup pecan pieces. Very yummy!

Five? I would like a saucer of each in front of me right now and I would just try each and just drift off into my happiness of ice cream world!Ps coconut can sitting y kettle at this very minute ?

I love doing this and working it with really tropical flavours. I do one where i blend a mango into a puree and use palm sugar and a squeeze of lime. It can freeze more grainy so use an ice cream maker tho!

This is such a great simple recipe! I just made the simple coconut recipe and mixed it in my thermomix then transferred it to silicone cupcake moulds. I then blitzed it in the thermomix again when it was frozen! Absolutely delicious! I then put the remaining pieces in a zip bag and they are ready to blitz for our next dessert! Thank you so much for sharing the recipe we have been on the Keto diet for about 9 weeks and both lost over 10kg! We have both been craving ice cream! Thanks again!!

I made some coconut milk ice cream today. lOVED IT! Although, I used Lite coconut milk and some regular milk too. The texture came out very good. I may have added some other ingredients like cinnamon, some honey, and pumpkin seeds.(organic) Then to make sure it stayed together, I added a tablespoon of pb.

Hi, it sounds like you maybe froze it too long? Homemade ice cream is best right out of the blender/machine or only frozen for a half hour or so once made. This is because of the lack of gums, stabilizers, or preservatives in storebought ice cream.

I am a new to the art to make ice screen and would love to make a fabulous recipe for my guest on Saturday.I make a mean coconut cream and lime ice cream. Will share later. If anybody is interested.I would love to get a coconut/or other fruit receipe . Some ice screams tend to be very hard and taje a looong time to soften

Hi, do you mean the ice cream was hard or the coconut milk? The ice cream should be the same texture of real dairy ice cream straight from the machine, but homemade ice cream does usually freeze solid because of the lack of preservatives.

This turned out perfectly!!! We followed this recipe and swirled in some blueberry pie filling just before putting our churned ice cream into the freezer to set and it was delicious! 10/10 recommend!

Eating appropriately is far more than just counting calories. It's counting the makeup of those calories. 100 calories of sugar has a very different impact on your body than 100 calories of animal fats. We believe the most optimal diet is one high in animal fats, moderate in animal protein, and very low in sugar. Rebel uses only premium, high quality ingredients that are keto-friendly. All ingredients are very low glycemic and will not kick you out of a fat-burning state. We sweeten our products with natural sweeteners that don't raise your blood sugar or upset your stomach. But Rebel Ice Cream isn't like other low calorie ice creams. The high fat content gives it the creamy texture of real ice cream. The perfect blend of natural sweeteners gives it the sweetness of real ice cream. In other words, this is real ice cream without any of the sugar!* However, since there is no sugar, it is best to let the ice cream soften for 10-15 minutes before you eat it. Creamy and decadent Coconut Ice Cream is made with just a few Ingredients and has tons of coconut flavor. It might sound like a showoff, but I bet this Ice cream is as good as the store-bought ones. Another best thing is there are no artificial ingredients or preservatives in it. All you need is Cream, Powdered sugar, Coconut milk, Condensed milk, and toasted coconut here.

Ice cream makers churn the ice cream and prevent ice crystal formation. And by churning, it also incorporates air and makes the ice cream light and airy. The same texture is difficult to achieve without an ice cream maker.

In the pictures, it looks like the ice cream is in a loaf pan -- is that the ideal size container? And does it matter whether it's glass or metal? I can't wait to make this recipe, thanks so much for sharing it!

This recipe sounded so simple, (having never made ice cream before), I had to try it! I only used the coconut milk, no other coconut and it is divine. The marriage of subtle coconut with vanilla works extremely well. I think I might reduce the amount of sugar next time though( Oh yes, there will definitely be a next time!).Thank you!

I used coconut sugar instead (135g), toasted my desiccated coconut and folded in together with my ice-cream at the end and followed the rest of the recipe and it tastes amazing. Just the right amount of sweetness which makes you want to go back for more! Not sickly sweet at all.

I don't understand what you mean by 1.5 cups of heavy cream and 2 cups of coconut milk.Is this measuring cup or the cups the product came with from shop. For clarity can you give me this 2 measuremens in grams please.

Sugar apart from adding sweetness also contributes to the texture of the ice cream. You can use artificial sweeteners though I cannot comment on the end result since I haven't tried it myself. You may reduce the quantity to your taste.

This recipe is soooooo good! I used the entire can of condensed milk and skipped the sugar because I knew I wouldn't have a use for the remainder of the can. I was also generous with the coconut extract. It is really creamy, decadent, and full of coconut flavor. I will definitely make again and might add dark chocolate chunks.

Just found this recipe. I'm in a "shelter at home" phase so needless to say, I'm very bored. Trying a new ice cream is about as exciting as I'm going to get right now. This sounds sooo delicious and looks so creamy. I hope my grocery store (Kroger) has all ingredients in stock. If they do I'm in business, lol. I will write and let you know how it turns out. Take care!!

I'll explain why coconut cream is the best replacement for heavy cream in ice cream recipes, and give you an easy recipe for making a coconut milk ice cream that is bursting with coconut flavor and toasted coconut chips, and easily adapted to create other flavors.

Dairy Free or Vegan Ice Cream - As written, this coconut milk ice cream is made with coconut cream and honey, making it a vegetarian, dairy-free ice cream. If you replace the honey with corn syrup or agave nectar, it's vegan too!

While you will likely have decent results simply replacing the heavy cream in your ice cream recipes with coconut cream, this recipe has been specifically formulated to make the best, creamiest dairy-free ice cream possible.

Coconut Cream - For this recipe you'll need two cans of coconut cream. There's no need to refrigerate the cans or to separate the cream from the liquid. We'll use all of it, and we will chill it after mixing everything together.

Honey - The rest of the sweetness comes from honey, or you can use another liquid sweetener like corn syrup or agave nectar. Using at least some liquid sweetener helps to discourage ice crystals from forming in our dairy-free ice cream.

Texture: Because coconut cream has a high water content (higher than dairy cream), it can crystalize when frozen. This can make your ice cream more like a popsicle, which is not ideal!

Other ice cream recipes use egg yolks to create a custard base. You can use coconut milk and cream in these recipes too, but you may not want to if your goal is to make a vegan coconut ice cream.

For ice cream recipes that use sweetened condensed milk (usually no-churn recipes like my no churn vanilla ice cream), you'll likely want to purchase sweetened condensed coconut milk to make that substitution with.

Other Popular Add-ins: Some of the favorites are chopped Oreos, walnuts, cookie dough pieces (see my cookie dough ice cream recipe), marshmallows, caramel syrup, and rainbow sprinkles. 041b061a72
